Who are The Thunder Echo Ensemble?
TEE are the North West's premier baroque-beat band, producing music that is fun, thoughtful, and just a little bit weird. Oh and it has a nice beat.
The Ensemble is populated by an ever shifting collection of musicians, poets, and freaks, most of whom do not want their real names attached to this experimental project.
But the one constant in TEE is Jay Larsen, who composes and produces the music and assembles singularly strange convocations at the WhatDoWeKnow Studios on the sprawling and very private Lazy J Ranch in North West Washington State.
And of course there is Monkey Boy, whose wild antics and inappropriate suggestions keep the whole group laughing and on their toes.
TEE makes music that is cinematic is scope, yet always grounded in pop sensibilities. The end results speak for themselves.
